“We’ve played really good offensively, I feel like things are flowing really well,” he said. “A lot of good things defensively too.”
Allen is making his case for being the team’s fifth starter, but said that is not his goal.
“I feel like we can throw a lot of different lineups out,” Allen said. “It doesn’t really matter to me, it’s not a pride thing to start the game. Like whenever I get in there, I’m going to help how I can, so it doesn’t really matter to me. It’s kind of still the same mentality going in.”
Allen had 13 points and two assists in 20 minutes last night. He also had the second-highest plus/minus on the team at +18.
With the regular season only a week away, the Suns play in one more preseason game – a neutral site matchup against the Lakers in Palm Springs Thursday night.
Allen gave really candid and thoughtful responses to questions today in this media session.
