The 2022 Phillies was one of the most exciting teams to watch in a long time. They were filled with talent on both sides. They were an afterthought because they finished 3rd in their conference, and when they got to Citizen’s Bank Park, the atmosphere was absolutely electric, and they fed off of that.

Sound familiar?
The 2023 Diamondbacks are doing the exact same thing. They snuck into the playoffs as a six-seed in the season’s final series. They have a talented core of hitters, with stars including Corbin Carroll, Christian Walker, Gabriel Moreno, and Ketel Marte. Their pitching staff has been fantastic, with two aces leading their staff, Zac Gallen and Merrill Kelly. Now, the D-backs still don’t have one thing the 2022 Phillies had: a trip to the World Series.
They start that quest tomorrow versus the Phillies in the daunting Citizens Bank Park with Zac Gallen on the mound.
