At +375 odds, the Milwaukee Bucks have suddenly emerged as favorites to win the 2024 NBA Finals; they were previously 6th in most sportsbooks.

This boost, of course, comes from the Bucks blockbuster trade, where they acquired Damian Lillard from the Portland Trailblazers in a three-team deal.

While Milwaukee did trade away some key pieces, including Jrue Holiday and Grayson Allen, along with a couple of pick swaps, it’s difficult not to have a positive outlook on a team that now features a seven-time All-Star alongside arguably the best player in the NBA, Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Now, the question looms: could we see a 2021 NBA Finals rematch?

As the Bucks ascend in the championship odds, the Suns find themselves in fourth place at +600.

However, when one examines their starting lineup, featuring the likes of Devin Booker, Kevin Durant, Bradley Beal, Josh Okogie, and Jusuf Nurkic, who has taken Deandre Ayton’s spot, the prospect of a 2021 finals rematch doesn’t appear all that far-fetched.

For many Suns fans, these finals have likely left a lingering bitter taste, as Phoenix had a 2-0 lead before things took a turn for the worse.

After Giannis Antetokounmpo was brought back from an injury, the Bucks turned the entire series upside down and went on to win four in a row to secure their second championship in franchise history.

Given the revamped and considerably improved rosters of both teams, a rematch between these two powerhouses seems perfectly fitting.
