Summerhays earned his spot at the Fortinet Championship through a win at the Player’s Championship while accompanying the ASU men’s golf team. Summerhays came in first place after competing in an intense playoff round to break the final tie and finished shooting 5-under par for the tournament.

The 21-year-old has had an impressive past several months that include traveling with team USA to help them win the Walker Cup over team Great Britain and Ireland, winning two of his last five collegiate levels events for ASU and winning the 2023 Thunderbird Intercollegiate tournament in April.

Summerhays is set to tee off tomorrow morning in Napa at 9:07 a.m. He will be competing in a threesome accompanied by Hayden Springer and Fred Biondi. Summerhays will be the only amateur competing in this weekend’s tournament.
