This is quite the turnaround compared to what Young had originally believed earlier this week.
Will Chase Young play on Sunday?
Chase said, "I do believe so. Honestly, I'm just waiting to get approved. I'm ready to go, straight up."

Chase Young, selected as the 2nd overall pick by the Commanders in the 2020 NFL Draft, made an immediate impact in his rookie season, earning the title of Defensive Rookie of the Year. In 2020, he recovered three fumbles, deflected four passes, and recorded an impressive 12 quarterback hits.
However, since then, injuries have been a speedbump for Young.
In Week 10 of the 2021 season, shortly after his standout rookie campaign, he suffered a devastating torn ACL. This injury not only forced him to miss the remainder of the 2021 season but also sidelined him for the first 14 weeks of the 2022 season.
Now, a neck injury is the latest setback for the young defensive star. Young sustained this injury during the Commanders’ first preseason game. He is now expected to be sidelined until at least Week 3 of the regular season.
The Commanders and Cardinals are set to kick off Sunday at 10 AM.
