Hovland and Morikawa tied in 1st after day 2 of TOUR Championship

Round two of the PGA TOUR Championship wrapped up on Friday and No. 2 ranked Viktor Hovland finished tied for first with Collin Morikawa, both shooting 16-under par after two days.

No. 1 ranked Scottie Scheffler finished third, one spot ahead of Thursday’s finish at fourth. After finishing in a three-way tie for first in the TOUR’s first round, Keegan Bradley finished fourth place on Friday. 

The most impressive jump came from Xander Schauffele who moved up five spots after day two, finishing 12-under par. 

ASU’s Jon Rahm shot four strokes better than Thursday’s performance and moved up two places to tie in fifth with Schauffele. After one of his best postseason performances, Rahm is now only four strokes behind the leaders.  

The three lead groups will tee-off last on Saturday. Rahm and Schauffelle tee-off at 2:38 p.m. followed by Scheffler and Bradley at 2:49 p.m. First place leaders, Hovland and Morikawa will tee-off at 3 p.m.

Rahm 7th, Hovland, Morikawa, and Bradley tied 1st after TOUR Championship day 1.
