During Rough Season Mercury Still Find Themselves in the Thick of the Playoff Race

The Mercury are 9-20 which is the second to last worst record in the WNBA, but yet they still find themselves as the 10th seed in the league with a little over a month to go in the season.

They have been playing there best brand of basketball over the past 4 games and look like a totally different team.

Brittney Griner is back after short time off to deal with her mental health and has put up great numbers in back-to-back games.

Diana Taurasi just became the first WNBA player to score 10,000 points which started the Mercury’s winning ways to the team notching 3 of their last 4.

Sophie Cunningham just recently reached 1,000 points in her own right and the Mercury just scored 45 points in the first quarter of the last game which was the best scoring quarter in the history of the WNBA.
