Shawn Marion, or as he was well known as the Matrix by Suns fans had a great career with the Phoenix Suns. So much so that he finally got inducted into the ring of honor alongside his ex-teammate Amar’e Stoudemire for everything that he contributed during his time in Phoenix yesterday.

Marion had great numbers with the Suns during his tenure. He averaged a double-double as well as becoming a 4x all-star and a 2x all-NBA player.

On the Burns & Gambo show on 98.7 The Game, Marion joined the crew to talk about the news that he received and he was pretty candid on his initial response to the news by the Suns.

This response got a few laughs from the crew but on a serious note Marion does have a point. This also shows that the Suns are in the right hands with Mat Ishbia as the new owner as he has done one of the things that was long overdue.
