As announced back on May 11, the other teams in this tournament are NC State and Vanderbilt, who will play earlier that night. Both games will be played at Michelob ULTRA Arena and televised on ESPN2.
The winner of the ASU-BYU game will take on the winner of these two teams in the championship game the next day on Nov. 24. The losers will also play each other.
An interesting storyline to watch will be if ASU plays against NC State, the new team of the Sun Devils’ second-leading scorer last season, DJ Horne.
The next day after the tournament concludes (Nov. 25) is the Territorial Cup, the last time the Arizona State football team and Arizona will meet as Pac-12 rivals before they make the jump to the Big 12.
Last season ASU went 3-1 in Vegas after a huge December victory over Creighton in a non-conference neutral site game and defeating Oregon and USC in the Pac-12 Tournament before eventually falling to Arizona. The Sun Devils also won their non-conference tournament last season, the Legends Classic in Brooklyn, after picking up significant resume-boosting wins against VCU and Michigan.

The Sun Devils will be fielding almost an entirely new team next season, so it will be interesting to see if they can put everything together early on in the season to perform well in Vegas.
