With DeAndre Hopkins now with the Titans, WR Michael Wilson has quite the opportunity to make a big impact in his rookie season.

Wilson was drafted in the 3rd round by Arizona; he joined up-and-coming Rondale Moore as one of two wide receivers that the Cardinals have drafted over the past four years.

During Wilson’s fifth year at Stanford, the speedy WR averaged nearly 70 yards per game in the six games that he played in. This was before he was forced to miss the remainder of the season due to an injury.

While this did hurt Michael’s draft stock quite a bit, he was able to gain some traction with an impressive performance at the NFL Combine.

Wilson ran a 4.56 40-yard dash and beat all other wide receivers with 23 reps on the bench press.

Of course, the injuries are still a concern, but the Cardinals new offensive coordinator, Drew Petzing, already has some high praise for the rookie.

Wilson’s combination of strength and speed will blend perfectly with Marquise Brown and Rondale Moore. These three combined will certainly be a dangerous task for opposing secondaries.

And Drew Petzing may just be the guy to develop Wilson into a star. During his time with the Vikings, Petzing coached some pretty big names, including, Adam Thielen, Stefon Diggs, and Justin Jefferson.
