No Durant, Booker, Ayton, or Paul for the Suns

With the fourth seed locked up, the Phoenix Suns have elected to rest their starters against the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday.

The Suns are coming off an extremely close battle against the Nuggets where they managed to scratch out a win due to clutch fourth-quarter performances from Chris Paul and Devin Booker.

While they did extend their winning streak to tie a season-high of seven in a row, Booker and Paul played 37 minutes, and Kevin Durant was forced to play 41 minutes.

As a result of the longer-than-expected time spent on the court, Monty Williams will be taking no chances as Phoenix has nothing to gain in this Friday night matchup against the Lakers.

On the other hand, the Lakers have quite a bit to play for, as their playoff seeding is still very much up in the air.

The Lakers currently hold the seventh spot in the Western Conference. However, if they can manage a win tonight, they could be tied with the Clippers for the fifth seed.

On the flip side, if the Suns continue their winning streak, the Lakers could find themselves stuck in the play-in tournament next week.

Tip-off for tonight’s game is at 7:30, and it will be the Lakers hosting at the Staples Center.
