Today was officially the day. Kevin Durant is now a member of the Phoenix Suns as he was introduced today at the Footprint Center a little over an hour ago in front of thousands of fans in attendance.

Chants broke out, fans applauded, and it felt like a playoff-type atmosphere during an introductory press conference for the two-time NBA champion.
Durant sat down with reporters for thirty minutes answering questions about why he wanted to come here and if they have enough to win an NBA championship now that they traded for him. His answer was insightful to every Suns fan in attendance.
“Yeah I think we got all the pieces to be successful,” says Durant. “We got guys that experienced what it’s like to play in that final round. We got a champion already that’s overseeing us. Monty’s (Williams) a champion as a coach so we got guys that’s been there and that’s half the battle just knowing what it takes.”

Durant also discussed his versatility as a player and how well that can mesh with a guy like Devin Booker when he ultimately gets back on the court.
“I think I’ve built my game around being efficient, taking good shots, making good plays on both ends of the floor. I feel my defense feeds my offense so I like to take shots at the mid-range, I like to cut to the basket, I like to do the little things built around the offense and I feel like that’s what makes me a versatile player.”
It’s only the beginning Suns fans. As Durant makes way as a member of the team before the all-star break, it’s time for the Suns to continue to show why Durant made the right decision to want to come to play for this organization.
