World Baseball Classic in Phoenix?

In 50 days from now, the World Baseball Classic will begin. For those who do not know what this is, imagine the olympics filled with the best of the best baseball players in the world, representing their countries. Everything you need to know about the games that will be played in Phoenix’s own Chase Field.

World Baseball Classic back in Phoenix

Chase Field will host Pool C of the tournament, which will take place March 11-15, 2023. (Tickets go on sale Jan. 19th). This will be the third time the WBC will have games set to be played in Phoenix. The city hosted first round games in 2006, and again in 2013.

Out of the 20 teams in the Classic, which is four more teams than ever before, five of those teams will play in Phoenix. Those teams as listed…

  • USA
  • Mexico
  • Great Britain
  • Colombia
  • Canada

There will be two games per day played between March 11 and March 15. One game will be played at 12 noon local time and then another game at 7 pm local time.

Saturday, March 11th, 2023

  • 12:30pm Colombia v Mexico
  • 7:00pm Great Britain v USA

Sunday, March 12th, 2023

  • 12:00pm Great Britain v Canada
  • 7:00pm Mexico v USA

Monday, March 13th, 2023

  • 12:00pm Colombia v Great Britain
  • 7:00pm Canada v USA

Tuesday, March 14th, 2023

  • 12:00pm Canada v Colombia
  • 7:00pm Great Britain v Mexico

Wednesday, March 15th, 2023

  • 12:00pm Mexico v Canada
  • 7:00pm USA v Colombia
