Arizona Cardinals safety Budda Baker has a high ankle sprain that will keep him out for multiple weeks. He had been dealing with an ankle injury that had him questionable for Sunday’s game, but he played 72 of 73 defensive snaps against the Seattle Seahawks.
Over the next couple of weeks, the Cardinals play the Los Angels Rams, the San Francisco 49ers, and the Los Angeles Chargers before their bye week. Jalen Thompson and Chris banjo are the only two healthy safeties on the Cardinals’ roster. Versatile linebacker Isaiah Simmons could be used as a safety.
So far this season, Budda Baker has 71 tackles, two pass breakups, and a forced fumble. The Safety is a four-time Pro Bowler, and the Cardinals will miss him while he’s out.
