After a miraculous comeback victory in a hostile Las Vegas environment, Kyler Murray was struck by a fan.
While the Cardinals quarterback was high-fiving fans heading into the tunnel, a man slapped Murray in the face with an open hand.
The initial report from on-field police officer Larry Hadfield read that “a spectator at the stadium struck a professional football player” according to the Associated Press.
@Raiders @NFL this is absolutely disgusting. Dude in the grey shirt needs to be banned from stadiums for life. The video was first released on Twitter, the fan however has yet to be named. The man in the grey shirt seemed to hide behind a Cardinals fan in the front row after slapping Murray.
As of now, it is hard to tell whether the intent was to injury Murray. Hands were flying everywhere, and it very well could have just been an accident.
Stay tuned for more details as the police investigation continues
