Zac Gallen Allows First Run Earned Run Since August 2nd

Zac Gallen gave up his first earned run since an August 2nd matchup against the Cleveland Guardians.

The run came in the fourth inning of this afternoon’s matchup versus the Colorado Rockies. C.J. Cron singled in Ryan McMahon to break up to 41 1/3 scoreless inning streak.

Gallen heading into Sunday’s game was tied with Don Drysdale for six consecutive scoreless starts. During this stretch, Zac had a .58 WHIP along with striking out 46 battters.

The streak officially ended at 44.1 innings which is 7th in MLB history.
