The Phoenix Mercury has its hands full in Connecticut, taking on the Sun. Phoenix is the seventh seed, and every game is a must-win for them to make the playoffs.

Connecticut is a big team with Jonquel Jones, Brionna Jones, Alyssa Thomas, and DeWanna Bonner. For the Mercury to have a chance in the game, they will need to play at a fast pace. Playing at a quicker pace would allow Phoenix to have an opportunity to get fast break points.

Skylar Diggins-Smith, who leads the Mercury in scoring with 20 points per game, will need to play well; she struggled in the game against New York o Sunday. Likewise, Diana Taurasi will need to show up and play well and be efficient.

The Mercury is last in the WNBA in rebounding, and with a giant Sun team, they will probably now in the rebounding battle. Phoenix will need to do their best to get outrebounded by a lot. Guards will need to come in the paint and help with rebounding.

At times Connecticut will let you stay in the game; they are not a very consistent team, so the Mercury must be ready.
