The Arizona Diamondbacks have elected to option LHP Anthony Misiewicz to Triple-A Reno following his relief appearance on Saturday.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Misiewicz was added to the Diamondbacks 40-man roster at the beginning of this year; this is his fifth season in the MLB.
So far this season, the 28-year-old has made four appearances out of the bullpen, allowing two earned runs in 4.2 innings.
Although Misiewicz has not necessarily struggled, the Diamondbacks are in need of further outfield depth, with rookie Corbin Carroll currently listed as day-to-day. Carroll hit the wall hard against the Rockies on Saturday and is dealing with a knee injury.
"It hurt but I didn't feel anything pop. It just felt like I hit a wall really hard, right?"

In return, the Diamondbacks have called up outfielder Dominic Fletcher from Triple-A Reno. Fletcher was listed as the D-backs #15 prospect going into the year.
The 25-year-old has started off his 2023 campaign on an impressive note, printing a .323 batting average throughout 109 plate appearances.
And in his first MLB at-bat, Fletcher ripped a double into the gap.

Unfortunately, this double came a little too late, as the Diamondbacks fell to the Rockies with a final score of 12-4.
