GLENDALE — Arizona Cardinals Hall of Famer Larry Fitzgerald is looking forward to returning to the place where he spent his entire 17-year NFL career to celebrate his legacy.

The club announced Monday that Fitzgerald will have his No. 11 jersey retired and be inducted into the team’s Ring of Honor on Oct. 25, when Arizona hosts the Denver Broncos. Fitzgerald responded to the announcement with a message of appreciation and some competitive spirit.

The ceremony comes after another milestone for Fitzgerald, who was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2026 on Saturday in Canton, Ohio.
Fitzgerald played his entire career with the Cardinals after Arizona selected him with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft. He finished his career with 1,432 receptions for 17,492 yards and 121 touchdowns — all franchise records — along with 11 Pro Bowl selections.

The jersey retirement will make the Hall of Famer just the sixth player in franchise history to have his number retired and the 20th member of the club’s Ring of Honor.
The Oct. 25 ceremony will give Cardinals fans another opportunity to celebrate one of the most accomplished players in franchise history. Fitzgerald, meanwhile, is ready to make another memory with the fans — and hopefully see a win against Denver.
