The Sun Devils are 14-0, extending their winning streak on Sunday with a 79-63 victory over Colorado. Under first-year head coach Molly Miller, ASU has recorded the best start in program history, meeting and surpassing the high expectations that followed Miller to Tempe.
Before arriving at Arizona State, Miller spent five seasons at Grand Canyon, where she led the Lopes to much success. Last season, GCU won its first WAC Tournament title and a 30-game winning streak. She was hired to bring that same stability and winning culture to an ASU program searching for identity.

Building this year’s roster required heavy reliance on transfers, including Gabby Elliott, Last-Tear Poa, Marley Washenitz and McKinna Brackens. With so many new pieces, questions remained about how quickly the team could develop chemistry.
What began as a rebuild has now become a statement. With uncertainty surrounding the program’s immediate future entering the season, the Sun Devils have responded.

Miller’s impact extends beyond the statistics. There has been a clear psychological shift in how Arizona State plays, competing with confidence and composure until the final whistle. The Sun Devils now expect to win rather than hope to.
The 14-0 start strengthens the program’s postseason chances and continues to raise its ceiling. While the season is far from over, Arizona State has already shown it belongs in the national conversation.
