Mark Williams will be a force when he needs to be and showed that in the early portion of their matchup against Los Angeles. Phoenix went down early on Sunday night, but showed yet again their strength in numbers as their bench players Royce O’Neale, Ryan Dunn, and Jordan Goodwin helped contribute early.

LeBron James was frustrated in the first half, only shooting 1-for-3 with 4 points, as Phoenix was running the same fast-paced offense that attacks the rim. The Suns have got younger, more athletic, and have built the depth, but it’s about executing. With all of these new pieces of the puzzle, the success has come for Phoenix not just on Sunday but in the entire season so far.
Phoenix has kept its foot on the gas pedal whenever it played the Lakers this season, relying on its depth and star power. The return of Devin Booker brings a different energy, especially in a game against one of Phoenix’s biggest rivals. The Suns must rely on getting Booker going and their depth if they continue to perform, and make sure they avoid turnovers to give up momentum. If they can focus on those issues, Phoenix will be in good shape to keep contending against Los Angeles and come out with a win on Sunday.
