ESPN has announced Life in the W, a six-episode docuseries premiering July 24 that offers an inside look at the lives of three of the league’s biggest stars: A’ja Wilson, Napheesa Collier and Mercury forward DeWanna Bonner. The series follows the players on and off the court throughout the WNBA season, highlighting many aspects of their lives beyond basketball.
For Mercury fans, Bonner’s inclusion is significant because of her career and legacy in both the WNBA and the Valley. As one of the league’s longest-tenured and most accomplished veterans, her story offers a unique perspective on the demands of basketball and life away from the court.

The six-time All-Star returned to Phoenix midway through last season after helping the franchise win two WNBA championships during her first stint with the organization. One of the league’s most respected veterans, Bonner has built a reputation for consistency, leadership and longevity over her 16-year career.
While Mercury fans know Bonner for what she does on the court, Life in the W promises to show another side of the veteran. The series follows her through a WNBA season while balancing family life and the responsibilities that come with being one of the league’s veteran leaders.
