Bonner entered the game needing seven more points to reach the mark and became one of only three players in league history to cross the 8,000-point threshold, joining Mercury legend Diana Taurasi and Tina Charles. The accomplishment adds another chapter to a career defined by consistency, longevity and production on both ends of the court.

Against the Sky, Bonner finished with 12 points, seven rebounds and one assist while shooting 50% from the field.

Although not her highest-scoring night, the significance of the moment extended far beyond the box score. Bonner reached the milestone in the second half when she sank a free throw to officially enter the 8,000-point club, sparking a celebration from teammates, coaches and fans inside the arena.

The veteran forward has built a reputation as one of the WNBA’s most reliable scorers, earning multiple All-Star selections and establishing herself as one of the league’s longest-tenured stars. Her ability to continue contributing at a high level has made her valuable even after more than a decade in the league.

Fans in the Valley have long been familiar with Bonner’s impact, having celebrated two WNBA championships with her during her time in Phoenix. After spending a few seasons away from the organization before returning last season, the two-time champion has continued to show the same consistency and leadership that made her a fan favorite.

Bonner’s milestone reflects the dedication, resilience and passion that have defined her career while highlighting the growth of a league that continues to celebrate its historic players.
