According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Dillon Brooks is expected to miss four to six weeks after suffering a broken left hand in a game against the Orlando Magic on Feb. 21. The injury couldn’t have come at a worse time, as several other Suns players are also sidelined during this stretch due to injury — including star Devin Booker.
Fans didn’t hold back their feelings about the latest setback in a season riddled with injuries in the desert. Still, there is hope that the projected timetable could allow Brooks to return before the play-in tournament and playoffs begin.

Every game matters at this time of year, and the Suns have already lost three of their last four contests.
Brooks brings a physical presence that has complemented what has been a career year in the Valley. Phoenix will need to recalibrate its defensive assignments and lean more heavily on its bench in his absence.
So far this season, Brooks is averaging 20.9 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists and shooting 44.0% from the field.

It’s not just the numbers he provides, but also the competitive edge that has made him a fan favorite among Suns supporters. He has helped push back against low preseason expectations and given Phoenix a legitimate chance to reach the playoffs.
In a tightly packed and highly competitive Western Conference, the Suns must find a way to stay afloat without several key players. The team will need to do what it has done all season: rely on the next man up.
