PHOENIX — The Phoenix Suns‘ season is officially here, and there’s already some more positive news to glean than many of the troubles that plagued last season.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Phoenix’s first injury report came out ahead of their opening-night clash against the Sacramento Kings, and it revealed that the Suns are already much healthier than they were last season.
Star guard Jalen Green is officially ruled out with a right hamstring strain, and the only other player on the injury report is veteran wing Grayson Allen, who is listed as probable with left hip soreness. Last season, especially down the stretch of a disappointing end, Phoenix was plagued with injuries to many of its star and rotation players.

Suns Fans Don’t Need to Worry
Green’s injury this early in the season may not seem like a good sign, but the 23-year-old former Rocket has played and started in 82 games each of his last two regular seasons. In his rookie and sophomore years, he played in 67 and 76 games. Green is known to play whenever he can, which is a far cry from many of the star-level players Suns fans have had to watch in recent years.
“That was never a doubt,” said Devin Booker on Green’s drive to get back on the floor. “We know he loves the game. We know he loves to play, and it’s not easy on him being out right now. So, we got to rally behind him and keep his head level. Make the transition easy when he comes back. ”

On Sacramento’s side, two key contributors will be missing the season opener — All-Star center Domantas Sabonis (right hamstring strain) and recently-extended two-way wing Keegan Murray (left thumb).
Sabonis’ absence provides a great opportunity for Phoenix’s center core of Mark Williams, Nick Richards and Oso Ighodaro to make an impact in game one.
