The discussion on social media began after X user Dano Mataya posted a video of Mercury fan Val Coleman in the store, saying she couldn’t find the All-Star’s jersey to purchase. Fellow All-Star and Thomas’ Phoenix teammate, Satou Sabally, had hers displayed in the store.

“No [Thomas] jersey,” Coleman said. “What’s a girl to do?

David Veenstra from Desert Wave Media spoke with two different employees at the store for Thomas’ jerseys, confirming the store hadn’t received any.

This left fans puzzled and frustrated, noting the continued “disrespect” the league has given to Thomas and the Mercury.

The WNBA hasn’t released a comment on why Thomas’ jersey was excluded from the store for purchase.
