Brandon Pfaadt was outstanding as he won his fourth straight start for the D-Backs. He allowed just four hits and one run in six innings. He has looked solid for Arizona as he now moves to a 4-1 record on the season.

Pavin Smith continues his hot streak for the Snakes. Smith had a massive home run in the bottom of the third inning and also had two hits and two runs scored on the day. Tim Tawa hit a solo shot home run as well in the bottom of the fifth inning, for his third homer of the season.

The Snakes came into the eighth inning up 3-1 over Tampa Bay, but after an electric bottom half of the eighth inning, Arizona added a couple more insurance runs. After back-to-back walks to Corbin Carroll and Pavin Smith, Josh Naylor hit a single to right scoring Carroll bringing to score to 4-1.

Shortly after Lourdes Gurriel Jr. his a sacrifice fly to center field scoring Pavin Smith making it a 5-1 D-Backs lead, and giving the Snakes the win.
Arizona takes the first game of their three game series against Tampa Bay. They will see the Rays again tomorrow on Wednesday night, April 22nd at 6:40 p.m. MST.
