Dortch is set to make $3.263 million on his salary under this deal, as he returns to Arizona for another year. Dortch was on the field for every game in 2024, and in a league where availability is the best ability, being able to stay healthy is key for any team. Friday is the deadline for restricted free agents to sign offer sheets with other football teams.
Greg Dortch’s last season was one of the best of his career, as he had 37 catches on 50 targets for 342 yards and three touchdowns. His role expanded for the Cardinals over the years as his punt-returning skills have been on display as well. Dortch averaged 9.6 yards on punt returns, while his longest return was for 27 yards. Over his first three years in Arizona he has 762 yards in 79 catches for four touchdowns.

Dortch returns to the Cardinals and rejoins a wide receiver room that includes up-and-coming star Marvin Harrison Jr, Michael Wilson who enters his third season, and Zay Jones who came back to Arizona on a one-year deal as well earlier this year. Dortch and Jones aren’t the only Cardinals returning, as general manager Monti Ossenfort has also brought back offensive linemen Kelvin Beachum and Evan Brown alongside defensive lineman L.J. Collier and pass rusher Baron Browning.

Dortchbearers, rejoice.

The Cardinals offense will seemingly run it back in 2025 with of course a few new additions. Although the front office and Cards fans are sure happy to be, “lighting the dortch”, again for this upcoming season.
