PHOENIX– The Arizona Diamondbacks have been making noise on the field, and their hot start is directly reflected in the rankings. After recently being ranked No. 10, the Diamondbacks have jumped to No. 8 in the MLB power rankings due to their relentless offense and overall aggressive play. With a current record of 11-7, key players like pitchers Zac Gallen and Merrill Kelly have led the charge with intensity. Combined with the power of Ketel Marte and Christian Walker at the plate, the Diamondbacks have become a danger for opponents, totaling 24 home runs so far this season. A tough 32-16 score against opponents during this past five game winning streak proved how threatening Arizona is in the National League. The Diamondbacks will have a chance to truly emphasize that message when they face the Cubs for a 3 game series again Friday, April 18, at Wrigley Field in Chicago.
