It was a solo shot home run party today for Arizona. Josh Naylor, Pavin Smith, and Tim Tawa all hit one-run home runs today. Tawa, also hit his first-ever big league home run today in the seventh inning as the D-Backs celebrated in the dugout. Lourdes Gurriel Jr. has been seeing the ball better too, as he had a towering two-run home run in the eighth inning, giving the Snakes a 6-1 lead at the time.

Brandon Pfaadt turned in another solid outing for the D-Backs as he went 5.2 innings pitched and only gave up one earned run on five hits. Following his fantastic start against the Orioles, Pfaadt showed consistency which he has had problems with in the past. Surely the D-Backs must be happy to see Pfaadts’ confidence rise as well, as he just signed a five-year 45 million dollar contract extension earlier this season.

Can the D-Backs get the sweep over the Marlins and their first one of the 2025 season? Tomorrow the Snakes will face Miami in the third game of the series an early one Thursday morning, as we will find out if the brooms will be brought out. The first pitch is at 9:10 a.m. MST.
