The Arizona Diamondbacks and their fans are excited for the release of their new city connect jerseys in 2025, and rumors have been swirling around as to what the design may be.

The MLB announced that the Diamondbacks will be one of the eight teams that will receive new City Connect jerseys in 2025. The announcement came back in March, but slowly the teams have been rolling out their new uniforms to fans. The D-Backs were on the list of teams to get new City Connect jerseys alongside the Boston Red Sox, Chicago White Sox, Colorado Rockies, Houston Astros, Miami Marlins, San Francisco Giants, and Washington Nationals.

The D-Backs have yet to release their new uniforms yet, although rumors have been speculating and mock ups were swirling around the internet. Including one picture of a, “leak”, that some feel could be close to what the final product will look like.

Fans have been waiting for the Diamondbacks to go back to their original throwback colorway, as the beloved purple and teal played such a big part of this franchises identity. For the D-Backs, going back to that brand, and maybe incorporating the Serpientes logo as well, could bring the best of both worlds into what could be a jersey Arizona fans have been waiting to see in rotation for a while.

At one point the D-Backs did do, “Throwback Thursdays”, and wore the old school pinstripe purple and teal vests, although they haven’t brought it back over the past few years. The first City Connect jerseys were released back in 2021 when the D-Backs sported their sand-colored Serpientes jersey for the first time, which has become a hit since first introduced.
