This is a major opportunity for the Sun Devils, as it allows for increased exposure, especially through televised coverage where they can showcase their talent. It only helps true talent reach its goals, as this shift will likely bring even more recruiting opportunities. ASU is ready to take over and own Friday night lights in the Big 12 during the 2025 season.
ASU’s matchup with TCU has been moved from Saturday, Sept. 27, to Friday, Sept. 26, at Mississippi State. Another huge rivalry game that has fans on edge—the showdown with Arizona—has been shifted from Thursday, Nov. 27, to Friday, Nov. 28.
With that being said, this change will create a whole new atmosphere for ASU football and fans, bringing back the iconic feel of Friday night games, which aren’t too common in college football—leaving ASU to put it to the test.
The Sun Devils will embrace this opportunity not only for their team and program, but also for their home field, where they’ll host these Friday night lights.
