“It was crazy”: Ryan Dunn’s poster dunk on Giannis fuels Suns’ win over Bucks

PHOENIX — Ryan Dunn made a statement in the Suns’ 108-106 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday night, delivering one of the most electrifying moments of the game with a thunderous dunk over Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Dunn’s highlight-reel slam came with six minutes left in the third quarter, capping off a perfectly executed fast break. Collin Gillespie launched a long pass downcourt to Devin Booker, who quickly dished the ball to a cutting Dunn. The 6-foot-7 rookie rose up fearlessly, throwing down a vicious dunk over Antetokounmpo that sent Footprint Center into a frenzy.

The moment shifted the momentum for Phoenix, which had been trailing for most of the night. Fueled by Dunn’s energy, the Suns stormed back to take their first lead of the game

“It was crazy, I’m not gonna lie,” Dunn said. “I knew he was gonna go contest it, so I was like, ‘I gotta try to dunk it on him.'”

From that point forward, the Suns played with a renewed sense of confidence, battling through the fourth quarter to secure their fourth straight win.

Dunn’s impact extended beyond the highlight play. His defensive presence and hustle helped the Suns keep Antetokounmpo and the Bucks’ offense in check down the stretch. The victory improved Phoenix to 13-3 this season when Devin Booker and Kevin Durant play without Bradley Beal, reinforcing their winning formula of surrounding the star duo with high-energy defenders like Dunn.

With the momentum of this statement win, the Suns turn their attention to their next challenge—a marquee matchup against the Boston Celtics—as they look to extend their winning streak and continue their surge in the Western Conference standings.

Is Bradley Beal the problem for the Suns?
