Since entering the league in 2016, Brissett has grown his notoriety as being one the best backup quarterbacks in the league. In his eight-year career, Brissett has had 53 career starts and thrown for 11,400 passing yards, 53 touchdowns, and 24 interceptions.
2022 was the last time Brissett was a full-time starter in Cleveland, where he started 11 games. His quarterbacks coach with the Browns was current Cardinals OC Drew Petzing.

Kyler Murray played his first full season since 2020 last year, which is a welcome sight for Cardinals fans. However, Arizona signing an experienced backup quarterback who likely already knows the system in Brissett is much-needed insurance for a team questions about health.
Brissett is one of the best game managers a franchise can have as a backup. The 32-year-old is tied for first all-time in NFL pass interception percentage at 1.4%. Brissett doesn’t make mistakes and is a viable second option at quarterback for the Cardinals to use next season.
