Suns Durant and Booker make epic bet on Lions vs. Commanders game

Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!

The Suns are getting are in the middle of a 5-game road trip with a stop in Detroit coming on Saturday afternoon. Normally a random night in the middle of January would be just another game.

Not this time.

That’s because there’s another major sporting event happening in the city of Detroit later that night and it has some major ties with the Suns. The Detroit Lions are set to host the Washington Commanders in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs. It just so happens that Phoenix stars Devin Booker grew up in Michigan and Kevin Durant in the DMV area. Both have been life long fans of their home teams.

That has created the perfect storm for the two to make a friendly wager over the game. And boy did they ever. Now there are several different reports out there over the details of the bet, but one report is down right diabolical.

According to this report, if the Lions win, Kevin Durant will have to thank Draymond Green for getting him his two championship rings. Whereas if the Commanders win, Booker will have to publicly write a Father’s Day card to Mavericks guard Luka Doncic.

I have a hard time believing that either guy would agree to such a wild bet but if they did I respect it and I don’t know whose team I want to win more.
