Williams suffered the injury on the closing play of the first quarter of Sunday’s 34-28 loss to the Buffalo Bills and did not return. He was replaced by veteran Kelvin Beachum, who has been with the Cardinals since 2020 and started 50 games, but allowed two sacks in place of Williams.
Williams signed a two-year, $30 million with Arizona in free agency this summer after spending his first five NFL seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals.
Coach Jonathan Gannon has yet to provide an official update on Williams, but the Cardinals will release their first official practice injury report on Wednesday. Arizona takes on the Los Angeles Rams Sunday afternoon in its home opener.
