Billings has played three games so far for Phoenix, averaging 9.0 assists, 5.7 rebounds and 0.3 assists per game. She scored 13 points in her Mercury debut last Sunday in an 85-65 win over the Chicago Sky.

Before she joined Phoenix a week ago, Billings was on the Dallas Wings as she signed a hardship contract amidst their injury crisis early on in the season. She averaged 8.8 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game across 24 games (12 starts) as well as recording five double-doubles for the Wings until she was released.

The UCLA product was originally selected by the Atlanta Dream with a second-round (15th overall) pick in the 2018 WNBA Draft. Known for her time with the Dream, Billings spent six seasons (2018-23) in Atlanta, playing in 176 games (44 starts) and averaging 5.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 18.7 minutes played per game.

She has embraced the opportunity to play on the Mercury and taken everything in of what it means to play for the team.

“It’s so dope to play with legends,” Billings said after the Mercury faced the Dream on Wednesday. “Other than like Angel McCoughtry, I have never played with like a legendary vet – and that was my rookie year. So it’s really cool, I am a vet myself now but being able to play with vet vets, it’s an honor, it’s a privilege. I am a sponge, so I always want to learn from them and they are super good vibes, good energy. It’s been a blessing thus far.”
