Heading into the final day of Phase 2 of the All-Star game fan vote, Diamondbacks second baseman Ketel Marte has maintained a 10-point lead over the Padres Luis Arráez. Marte holds a 55-45 lead over the Padres starting first baseman, with the winner being named the starting second baseman for the National League in the 2024 MLB All-Star Game.

Marte is having his best season as a Diamondback and is in the thick of the 2024 National League’s Most Valuable Player race with the Dodgers’ Shohei Ohtani. In 86 games, he’s batting .286 with a team-leading 17 home runs, 49 RBI, 57 runs scored, and a .874 OPS. His OPS ranks seventh and his 4.4 bWAR ranks second amongst all NL players. Not only is he on track not only to be an MVP finalist but also to take home a Gold Glove and Silver Slugger Award.

- Hits: 1st (91)
- Runs: 1st (57)
- Extra-Base Hits: 1st (38)
- RBI: 1st (49)
- OPS: 1st (.874)
- Defensive Runs Saved: T-1st (11)
- Outs Above Average: T-2nd (9)
With one day left in the voting, the Diamondbacks added reason to vote for Marte. The team’s X account posted a screenshot of National League second baseman hitting stats, with a certain player not showing up on the list.
