After joining the Diamondbacks for their series against the Yankees, outfielder Jorge Barrosa has been optioned to Triple-A Reno.

Having been part of the D-backs’ minor league system since 2018, last year marked his first full season in Triple-A, where he posted a .274 batting average with the Reno Aces.
With Barrosa’s optioning back to Triple-A, the Diamondbacks are likely to activate veteran outfielder Randal Grichuk for their upcoming series against the Braves, beginning on Friday.
