Coyotes’ losing-streak history

Their 14-game losing streak stands as the fourth-longest streak in franchise history. They were just one loss away from tying the third-longest streak set during the 2003-04 season when they were known as the “Phoenix Coyotes.”

The two longest-losing streaks in the franchise’s history came when they were originally the Winnipeg Jets. The Jets lost 30 straight games in the 1980-81 season and 19 in a row during the 1993-94 season.

Coyotes’ Alexander Kerfoot reached major milestone vs. Maple Leafs

Arizona currently stands as second-to-last in the Central Division, and 13th in the Western Conference. From fighting for a wild-card playoff spot to sitting 28th in the NHL, the Coyotes are expected to make moves before the NHL Trade Deadline on March 8.

With this victory, however, the Coyotes avoided the wrong part of history and can now focus on ending this season on a high note.
