Suns injury list grows for tomorrow’s game vs. Lakers

Heading into tomorrow afternoon’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers, the Phoenix Suns will remain banged up.

The Suns (33-24), who have lost two straight, will be without Bradley Beal (left hamstring tightness) for the fourth-straight game. Beal suffered the injury during last Phoenix’s win over the Sacramento Kings Feb. 13 in the first quarter and did not return.

Eric Gordon has been added to the report as questionable with left groin soreness. Gordon only had five points on 2-of-8 shooting in last night’s four-point loss to the Houston Rockets.

Fortunately for Phoenix, Jusuf Nurkić (right ankle sprain) has been upgraded to probable after missing last night’s game. Coach Frank Vogel said Nurkić rolled his ankle in practice on Wednesday and played through it in Thursday’s loss to the Mavericks, but it swelled up after.

The Suns have gone 0-4 this season without Nurkić, so they would love to have him back.

The only other name on the Suns’ injury report is Damion Lee, who has missed the entire season after undergoing right meniscus surgery in the offseason.

The Lakers (31-27) also have their fare share of injuries. Separate story to come.

Tomorrow’s game tips off at 1:30 p.m. MST at Footprint Center. LA leads the season series 3-1, but Phoenix won the most recent matchup on Jan. 11 by 18 points.
