Shaquille O’Neal is next on the list for Durant to pass, and he only needs 307 points to do so. Durant, now 35 years old, reached the feat in 224 less games than Anthony. Only Michael Jordan (30.1) and Wilt Chamberlain (30.1) have a higher career points-per-game average in the top 10 than Durant (27.3).

Durant came into tonight averaging 28.1 points on 53.5% shooting, 6.6 rebounds and 5.6 assists. If he keeps up this pace, he would pass Shaq in 11 games.
The Suns trail the Rockets 89-81 after leading by as much as 16 in the first quarter. Durant has struggled overall tonight, shooting only 8-for-17, but will look to lead Phoenix down the stretch.
