The Perry Pumas (16-4-2) boys soccer team has advanced to the semifinals after a 4-0 victory against the Sunnyslope Vikings (11-5-2) on Saturday.

Perry won its first-ever boys’ soccer championship last year and has a real chance at repeating this year.
During the first two rounds of the 2024 6A Playoffs, the Pumas defeated Basha and Sunnyslope. They have outscored the two teams by a combined six goals.

The team has showcased this dominance all season long. They are now just two more wins away from becoming back-to-back state champions.
Semifinal matchup
The Pumas will face the Mesa Jackrabbits (16-2-1) on Tuesday, Feb. 20 @ 5:30 p.m. MST. The Jackrabbits played Perry early in the regular season and defeated them in a close extra-time battle.
Despite being ranked No. 8 in the bracket, Mesa has proven to be one of the most dangerous teams in the state. They are coming off a wild upset win against the No. 1 seeded Sunnyside Blue Devils (23-1-1) in the quarterfinals.
