Perry advance

Coming off a season where they were crowned as 6A champions, the Pumas have not disappointed.

Perry entered this year’s conference bracket as the No. 4 seed, hosting the No. 13 seed Bears. The team did not have much trouble defeating Basha for the second time this season.

Junior Brody Donovan scored the team’s final goal extending the lead to 3-0, essentially putting a nail in the coffin.

Next Up

The Pumas now advance to the quarterfinals where they will face the winner of Sunnyslope and Desert Vista.

While they have not played Sunnyslope this year, the team did face and lose to Desert Vista just two months ago.

However, Perry has proven to be able to compete with any team in the state. Don’t count the reigning champions out to bring in yet another trophy.
