Sun Devils’ Shooting Struggles

One factor stood out above all others and that is ASU’s continuous shooting struggles. The team shot an alarming 3/26 from beyond the arc, making them 7/43 over the last two games.

The Beavers got off to a hot start early on and went into the half with a 15-point lead. Despite continuing to force turnovers at a high rate, the Sun Devils could not capitalize off them due to their poor shooting.

Arizona State trailed by 21 at one point but did make a late comeback effort led by junior two-way guard Frankie Collins. However, it was not enough as their jump shots were simply not falling consistently.

Next Up For Arizona State

Arizona State will next face off against the Stanford Cardinal (10-9, 5-4 in conference) on Thursday, Feb 1 @ 7 p.m. MST. Stanford has had some impressive victories this season but did lose to ASU just last month.

The Sun Devils need to put together an incredible stretch of wins over the next few weeks to have a shot at March Madness play.
