Lions Attempt To Stay Consistent

This season has been up and down for Liberty. Their last seven games have gone back and forth between a win and a loss.

Senior center Ring Nyeri has continued his dominance this season. Nyeri is averaging 19.6 points, 12.0 rebounds, 3.6 blocks, and 1.1 steals per game. His elite level on both sides of the ball has been a nightmare for opposing defenses.

The Lions are coming off an incredible season where they made it to the quarterfinals of the open division playoffs but fell just short against the Perry Pumas.

They now defeat a Mustangs team that has lost eight of their last 11 games played. While Sunrise Mountain has struggled, this is nevertheless an impressive and important win for Liberty.

What’s Next

Liberty will next face off against the O’Connor Eagles (17-4) on Tuesday, Jan 23 @ 7 p.m. MST.

This will be a huge challenge for the Lions and can help prepare them for potiential playoff matchups in the coming months. The Eagles are currently ranked No. 8 in the state of Arizona.

The Lions have a tough six-game stretch to end the season and will look to end on a strong note.
