He finished with 19 points, 10 assists, and seven rebounds. This was Harden’s 10th game with 10 or more assists against the Suns. Harden’s teams are 8-2 in those games.

Harden used to make Phoenix sports fans’ dreams come true when he was a player at Arizona State. He played two seasons for the Sun Devils.

During his freshman season, Harden averaged 17.8 points per game, shot 52% from the floor, and 40% from three. He increased his production as a sophomore as he averaged 20.1 points per game and led ASU to the second round of the NCAA tournament.

Once Harden became a professional basketball player those dreams turned into nightmares. In the classic horror movie, A Nightmare on Elm Street. Freddy Krueger is able to kill his victims through their dreams.

Harden must have given the Phoenix Suns a sleep aid. It seems like they are in a never ending nightmare where Harden continues to kill them.

The Los Angeles, California native is now 32-10 against the Suns during his career. This includes an 11-game win streak that happened when Harden was playing for the Houston Rockets. The streak that lasted exactly three years, it went from 12/21/2016 to 12/21/2019.

In those 42 games against Phoenix, Harden has averaged 25.5 points per game, 6.5 assists per game, six rebounds per game. He has shot 45% from the floor and 36% from three.

The Suns don’t have to deal with Harden for quite a while as they don’t play against the Clippers until April. The Suns and Clippers will play against each other in back to back games in both Phoenix and Los Angeles.

Those two games could be crucial for playoff positioning as Phoenix is currently ninth in the western conference. If, they are not able to climb the standings in the mean time, Harden and the Clippers could be the team that knocks the Suns out of playoff contention. This is what basketball nightmares are made of.
