These two NFC Division foes meet once again for the 50th time in both of their franchises history this Sunday.

Known as the St. Louis Cardinals before they relocated to the valley in 1988, they won the inaugural confrontation with the Seahawks 30-24 back on Sept. 12, 1976.

Since then, Seattle has taken control of the series, leading 26-22-1. Furthermore, the Seahawks have won the past four and are 8-3 in the last 11.

This year, Arizona fell 20-10 in Washington state as Seattle came back from trailing 10-7 to scoring 13 unanswered points on Oct. 22, 2023.

Ex-Cardinal quarterback Joshua Dobbs completed 19-of-33 passes for 146 yards and rushed for a 25-yard touchdown.

Seahawks rookies Jason Bobo and Jaxson Smith-Njigba both corralled two passes from quarterback Geno Smith for separate touchdowns.

Now that the setting is changing from Lumen Field (Seattle’s home) to State Farm Stadium this Sunday, can the Cardinals fortunes flip?

They are coming off of a 35-31 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles, so the momentum from their latest result, alongside this being the last time in front of the home fans this year, may swing the odds in Arizona’s favor.

The fierce rivalry between the Cardinals and Seahawks will kick off at 2:25 p.m. on Jan. 7.

Impressing this season, Cardinals WR Greg Dortch will be a hot commodity in free agency
