Valley Christian Baseball Back With Vengeance After Championship Loss

To continue the series of outlooking high school baseball teams ahead of the new upcoming season, the Valley Christian Trojans are up next.

Championship Run

The Trojans finished last season with an incredible 27-4 record while outscoring their opponents 323-92.

Despite entering the 3A conference playoffs as the No. 3 seed, Valley Christian fell short in the championship game as they lost 4-2 to Northwest Christian.

That made three straight seasons where the team completely dominated through the regular season but could not come out as 3A champions.

Departures

As with every high school, Valley Christian lost several key players to graduation in May. This includes Ryan Koa, who had 18 hits and 24 RBIs on just 33 at-bats.

However, the team has a ton of young talent that will look to step up even more than they already have. Current junior Caleb Danzeisen batted .460 with 40 hits and 33 RBIs. Danzeinsen and the rest of the team have already proven what they can do and will attempt to do so to win a championship.

Season Outlook

The Trojans are undoubtedly one of the best teams in the 3A and state as of right now despite falling short of a championship in the past few seasons.

They should once again be considered a favorite to bring home the 3A title this upcoming season.
