Two Keys Suns Upgraded in Phoenix’s Latest Injury Report

© Petre Thomas-USA TODAY Sports

No member of the Suns’ Big 3 is currently on the team’s injury report for the first time all season. However, there are still a few key players listed who were greatly missed in the star trio’s debut yesterday.

Last night, Eric Gordon (right lower leg soreness), Grayson Allen (right groin strain) and Josh Okogie (right hip injury) all did not suit up for the Suns in their 116-112 loss to the Nets. This was Gordon’s and Okogie’s first game missed with their injuries. Allen suffered his injury last Tuesday vs. the Lakers and has missed the last three games. The Suns clearly felt their absences all game, trying to mix and match lineups around the stars all night that did not end up working out in the end.

Gordon and Allen have been upgraded to questionable for tomorrow’s game vs. the Knicks. Okogie remains out with his injury, which has not oddly not been specified what the extent of it is other than “right hip injury.” All three of these players are probably the leading candidates for the team’s fifth starter role and were seamless fits next to the trio when they played together in the preseason.

Nassir Little (orbital fracture) is listed as available after returning last night from a one-game absence, signifying that he will be wearing a mask.

Damion Lee remains out after undergoing right meniscus surgery in the offseason.

For the Knicks, Mitchell Robinson is out after recently undergoing right ankle surgery.

Tomorrow’s game tips off at 8 p.m. MST, as the Big 3 looks to notch their first win of the year for the 13-11 Suns.
